The Mature Workforce – The Law and Challenges in Asia Pacific
Across the developed world, populations are ageing leading to labour shortages and slowing economic growth. Whilst many employers see this demographic shift as an issue to be dealt with by national governments and not the responsibility of the private sector, it will have a significant impact on business. If employers want to access the best talent and get ahead of their competitors, they will need to start planning how to engage mature workers now.
In this webinar, we will look at issues associated with the mature workforce across the Asia Pacific region. In particular, we will consider the opportunities and challenges of engaging mature workers and the measures which can be adopted to attract these workers. We will also look at the laws governing mature workers including protections against age discrimination and retirement schemes, as well as actions being taken to engage mature workers in Australia, China, Hong Kong and Singapore.
