Energy 4.0 - the digital future of energy supply

The digitization of the energy transition puts previous business models in the energy industry to the test. Disruption and digital transformation will further accelerate and accelerate industry change.

Renewable energies, nuclear phase-out, climate protection and network expansion, all the way to smart grids, are key factors in the ongoing transformation in the energy sector. The speed and impact of the energy transition have surprised many. Outside the energy sector, "digital change", "industry 4.0" or "breaking into the data economy" are key issues that describe a rapid and profound change in our economic life.

There are estimates that around 40% of today's businesses will no longer exist in 10 years because they do not or will not make the digital transition on time. In the energy sector, the political, technical and regulatory challenges of the energy transition are added.
